Landscape Photographer
of the Year 2020
My background is in photography, but mixed media has become a significant part of my artistic journey. Building on and drawing from my extensive experience in photography, I began integrating mixed media techniques and experimenting with innovative printing methods and diverse materials.
Each piece begins with a photograph, but it is the printing process that transforms the image into a unique, tactile artwork. From the careful selection of materials to the precision of printing on handmade cotton paper, every stage of creation is meticulously crafted. This fusion of photography and printmaking brings depth and texture to each piece, ensuring that every artwork is one of a kind. The process, though slow and deliberate, elevates the image, making it a true work of art.
In 2020, I had the honour of being named the Landscape Photographer of the Year UK for my image "Silent Covid Morning," which won the special category 'My Isolation Landscape.
